A personal project by Joan Arboix who, together with two friends doing some “group therapy” through winemaking, set out to bottle the essence of Mallorca, sip by sip.
The name Arboix is not only a personal nod to the sommelier Joan Arboix, but also a playful allusion to Arbois, the Jura region. There, too, light reds with great personality are made, wines once off the radar that now claim their rightful place. We bring that spirit to the Mediterranean, with a Mallorcan soul, and we embrace its lightness!
The wine comes from three vineyards in different towns, Consell, Santa Maria, and Binissalem. Only 655 bottles were made, all from a single 500-liter second-use barrel. It aged for one year in wood and another in tank before bottling.

Trellised vineyard planted between 2000 and 2010: makes up 80% of the grapes.
Grape varieties: Mantonegro, Escursac, Fogoneu and Esperó de Gall (Average yield: 1,200 gr/plant)
Ageing: 12 months in barrel
Type of barrel: 500 l French oak, previously used for white wine
Alcohol: 12,5%

Allergens: Low sulphite content (57 mg/l total SO₂)
